Weekend at the Ranch

This past weekend, we all jumped in the car and went to my parent's place in Camp Wood, Texas. Normally, it takes us 4.5 hours to get there. However, traveling with a two year old and an infant added an extra 1.5 hours to the trip. Once, we arrived Kayla was off running around and being her normal active self. She fed the cows with Grandaddy and played outside with Bitsy. She even ventured down to the river and played in the water hole with Jon. We all had a really good time. It was nice to have all of us together and to get away. However, both Jon and I were exhausted once we got home.

Christian screaming for his dinner while Bitsy tries to console him as I try to get a bottle ready (just not fast enough for a Schneider boy.)

4th of July

Our 4th of July was spent relaxing and enjoying time together. Kayla, Christian, and I actually started our July 4th celebration on Thursday night. We were invited to view the fireworks with Campbell and Holland (two of Kayla's friends). We had a really good time. Kayla absolutely loved the fireworks. She watched with amazement. At the end of the show, I had to calm Kayla down since she got upset that the fireworks were over. On the way home all I heard was "More fireworks Mommy!"

On the 4th, we all went to the local firework show. Christian slept through the entertainment while Kayla commented on the pretty fireworks with each bang.
Off we go to see the fireworks!!!

Wow!

Happy Birthday Kayla!!

Kayla's 2nd birthday party was postponed due to the arrival of Christian. On June 17,we celebrated Kayla's 2nd birthday with a few of her friends from our Mommy group. The day was filled with swimming, jumping in the jump house, chik-fil-a, and of course cake.
