Big Girl Room
Kayla has moved out of the nursery and into her big girl room. She was a little hesitant at first. Actually, the first night that we tried to have her sleep in the "big" bed, she lasted maybe 5 minutes. However the next night, she lasted all night but with Jon in the room with her. Hopefully tonight, she will sleep by herself and all night (for Jon's sake).
I have to thank Mary (a.k.a Bitsy) for helping me put together Kayla's room. I could not have completed it without her help. Thank you Mary!!!!

Happy Birthday Addison!!
A couple of weekends ago, the kids and I took a day trip to Houston to wish Addison (Kayla and Christian's cousin) a very happy birthday. It was a long day, but definntly worth the trip. I got to see my family which is always nice. Kayla played and played until we got in the car to go home. It was nice to see all the cousins (Zoe, Addison, Abby and Grace) play together. Christian slept and admired the faces. Kayla played on the water slide, dressed up in a princess outfit and made farting sounds with the Flarp. Yes, I think the Flarp was a big hit with Kayla. I have not broken down and bought her some (yet).
Thanks Eric and Lori for a wonderful time. We enjoyed seeing you all.

Current events...
Wanted to keep everyone posted on how we are all doing.
Kayla is growing up so fast. She is starting to pretend play with her dolls and loves to wear jewelry (my jewelry). She has started to enjoy sitting down and watching movies. One of her favorites is Mary Poppins. We are going to try and move her into the big girl room in the next week. Before I know it, I am going to be sending her off to college.
Christian is officially no longer a newborn (3 months). He is beginning to make all those wonderful baby noises (not just the crying). He found his feet today and it made him laugh with delight. He loves tummy time and to watch his mobile. He loves to cuddle. He is such a joy.
Jon has started a new job. The Sonic position was not working out for any of us. He is now running a franchise here in Austin and working with the same people that he started his career with. He is in charge of building 10+ restaurants called Genghis Grill. (http://www.genghisgrill.com) He is very excited.
Myself...I am so blessed. I have two wonerful kids and a terrific husband. There are those days that I think I might go mad, but then I see Christian's smile or Kayla say "I hold you, Mommy" and the insanity goes away until the screaming or "No, Mommy!" begins again. However, I would not changeany of it. I love every minute of my life and I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family.

The Wiggles...
What a weekend...family, fun and The Wiggles.
We had a blast at The Wiggles concert. Kayla danced and sang. Jonah sat and watched in amazement. Both enjoyed the show and the cotton candy.

Our 4th of July was spent relaxing and enjoying time together. Kayla, Christian, and I actually started our July 4th celebration on Thursday night. We were invited to view the fireworks with Campbell and Holland (two of Kayla's friends). We had a really good time. Kayla absolutely loved the fireworks. She watched with amazement. At the end of the show, I had to calm Kayla down since she got upset that the fireworks were over. On the way home all I heard was "More fireworks Mommy!"
Christian sleeps through the festivities.
Kayla watched with amazement.
Kayla's 2nd birthday party was postponed due to the arrival of Christian. On June 17,we celebrated Kayla's 2nd birthday with a few of her friends from our Mommy group. The day was filled with swimming, jumping in the jump house, chik-fil-a, and of course cake.

Weekend at the Ranch
This past weekend, we all jumped in the car and went to my parent's place in Camp Wood, Texas. Normally, it takes us 4.5 hours to get there. However, traveling with a two year old and an infant added an extra 1.5 hours to the trip. Once, we arrived Kayla was off running around and being her normal active self. She fed the cows with Grandaddy and played outside with Bitsy. She even ventured down to the river and played in the water hole with Jon. We all had a really good time. It was nice to have all of us together and to get away. However, both Jon and I were exhausted once we got home.

Christian screaming for his dinner while Bitsy tries to console him as I try to get a bottle ready (just not fast enough for a Schneider boy.)
Kayla enjoying washing the rocks in the water table.

On the 4th, we all went to the local firework show. Christian slept through the entertainment while Kayla commented on the pretty fireworks with each bang.
Off we go to see the fireworks!!!
Wow!
